Use Case: The Home
Air cleaning for homes
Bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and family spaces vary in size, use and ventilation. Air-cleaning equipment should be chosen and operated for the needs of each room.
Planning air cleaning at home
- Choose for the room: Consider room size, how the room is used, ventilation and the selected model’s clean air delivery rate.
- Plan placement: Keep air inlets and outlets clear and position the unit to suit the room layout.
- Consider everyday use: Check operating noise and fan settings, especially in bedrooms, and follow the product manual.
- Maintain the equipment: Clean the unit and check and replace filters as the product manual describes.
In laboratory chamber tests, the HA500 and HA800 each reduced the H1N1 virus indicator and the bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus albus by at least 99.9% within 60 minutes; the HA500 was also tested against human coronavirus 229E. Results apply to the tested model and conditions — see Evidence & Test Results.
Healthy Air Technology offers models for different indoor settings. Our Evidence & Test Results page explains selected model-specific laboratory findings and their limitations. Results should not be transferred between models or treated as guarantees of performance in a home.
Air cleaning should support ventilation, source control and routine maintenance. It does not guarantee prevention of colds, coronavirus transmission or other infections.
